Jack Grealish misses Man City training ahead of PSG fixture

Jack Grealish was not involved as Manchester City trained ahead of their Champions League game with Paris Saint-Germain.

Pep Guardiola's side host their French opponents on Wednesday but may have to make do without their £100m summer signing after he did not take part in the group session on Tuesday afternoon.

Grealish was one of the most-used players in the first three months of the season but picked up an injury with England during the November international break and did not make the squad for the Premier League win over Everton at the weekend.

Guardiola said in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday that the former Villa captain's fitness had improved and indicated that a final decision will be taken on his condition on the morning of the game.

Ferran Torres, Liam Delap and Kevin De Bruyne are all confirmed absentees for the match against PSG while the manager also said that a few unnamed players had niggles ahead of training.

However, all other first-team players - apart from Grealish - took part in training on Tuesday as well as youngsters including Cole Palmer and James McAtee; Palmer made his first Premier League start in the win over Everton, while McAtee came off the bench for his Premier League debut.

Phil Foden kept his place on the left wing for the Everton game with Palmer up front and Raheem Sterling on the right; Sterling converted a sumptuous Joao Cancelo delivery to score the opening goal.
