Jack Grealish transfer latest: Manchester City plan bid as Aston Villa fight to keep £100m England playmaker

Manchester City have set their sights on signing Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish this summer.

Grealish, who is part of England’s squad at Euro 2020, will not come cheap though and is likely to command a fee of £100million.

City are determined to add to their squad this summer after missing out on winning the Champions League last season. Pep Guardiola’s side, who won the Premier League, lost to Chelsea in the Champions League Final in Porto in May.

Guardiola is a big fan of Grealish and wants to sign him, but Aston Villa will fight hard to keep the attacking midfielder.

Villa’s owners are ambitious in their plans for the team and they have already splashed out over £30m to sign Emi Buendia from promoted Norwich this summer.

City are yet to make a formal offer for Grealish, however their interest is genuine and a concrete bid is expected.
