Jack Grealish makes bold Harry Kane claim ahead of England Euro 2020 clash vs Ukraine

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has labelled Harry Kane as the 'best player' he’s ever played with.

The pair linked up for the second goal in England’s 2-0 win against Germany at Wembley on Tuesday evening, with Grealish crossing for Kane to nod home from close range four minutes from time.

It was the England skipper’s first goal of Euro 2020 after a difficult start to the tournament. Nevertheless, it secured the Three Lions’ place in the quarter-final, and Grealish thinks the squad have the attacking talent to go all the way.

“You have got six players that play either side of Harry (Kane) that, in reality, could play for most clubs in the world,” he said, as per the Mirror. “Myself, Jadon (Sancho), Marcus (Rashford), Raheem (Sterling), Phil Foden and Bukayo (Saka).

“That’s scary how good us six are. That’s not being big-headed or nothing. That is just the truth.”

Among those six talents is England’s talisman, Kane, and Grealish has made a bold claim about his captain after he managed to get off the mark against Germany.

“To get his first goal of the tournament, he will be buzzing but no-one in there would ever doubt H,” he added. “He is the best player I have ever played with.

“He is unbelievable. He is an unbelievable professional on and off the pitch. I am buzzing for him that he has obviously got the first goal and hopefully for all of us there are many more to come.”

England are hot favourites to beat Ukraine on Saturday, but Grealish believes upsets like the one Switzerland created against France will inspire Andriy Shevchenko’s side.

“I think there's been so many games that you wouldn't expect that have gone different ways this Euros so far,” he continued. “And so honestly, I think people would probably want to beat us because of who we are as well.”

He’ll be hoping the two can link up again so that England reach the semi-final, a match that will be played against either Czech Republic or Denmark.
