Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish says he wants to hit the same heights as Tottenham star Harry Kane.
The pair are currently on international duty together with England.
Grealish made his first start for Gareth Southgate's side in the 3-0 friendly win over Wales at Wembley on Thursday night.
He put in a man-of-the-match display while Kane and other more established players were rested - and the Aston Villa captain now wants to kick on.
“I’m capable of these types of performances,” Grealish told The Guardian.
“The aim is to do it every weekend like some of the players in this squad – Harry Kane, Raheem (Sterling), Marcus (Rashford).
"It is the standard these guys set. You only have to look at Harry Kane.
"He is first on the training pitch, he is first in the meetings. He is last off the training pitch, he is practising his finishing, free-kicks – every single day.
"No wonder he is one of the best strikers in the world. It makes you want to go back to Villa and set those standards.”
Grealish's emergence on the international scene has prompted lofty comparisons with another Spurs hero, Paul Gascoigne.
“I would love to be like Gazza,” Grealish added.
“He played with such joy and that is what I want to do.
"One of the biggest compliments for people to say to you is that you make them happy watching football.”
England are back in action tomorrow (Sunday) when they take on Belgium in the Nations League at Wembley (5pm).
That is followed by another Nations League tie at Wembley, against Denmark, on Wednesday.
And Grealish, who has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham, will be hoping to feature in those games.
