Jack Grealish lifts lid on 'different' feeling after entering Man City dressing room following transfer

Jack Grealish has opened up about his first days as a Manchester City player following his £100m move from Aston Villa.

The England international joined City in a British-record move last week and made his debut as a substitute just two days later in the Community Shield defeat against Leicester City at Wembley Stadium.

City were without several first-team regulars including Grealish 's England teammates Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Kyle Walker and John Stones. Grealish took part early on to get a head-start on his new chapter, featuring for 20 minutes after one training session with his new side.

Grealish linked up with former Villa teammate and City star Joleon Lescott to discuss his opening days with the club and explain how joining a new changing room on this occasion has been different to any other.

"It's been different. Obviously I've never really moved before. Like, I've gone into new changing rooms with England under ages and even England first-team and I've known people. When I've walked in with one of the staff, and obviously it's a big changing room to go into, and some big personalities in there.

"The whole club has been unbelievable, with my family and I'm not just saying that. It makes it so much easier. They've all obviously been brilliant with me and then all the players and staff and that have been top with me.

"Now looking back it's actually been good for me, because I've spoken to people that I might not have spoken to that much."

Grealish's England teammates have returned to training now and City are preparing for the Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
