Jack Grealish has sights set on Manchester United move, says former Aston Villa striker Darren Bent

Aston Villa star Jack Grealish has "got his eye" on a summer transfer to Manchester United, according to Darren Bent.

The 24-year-old looks likely to leave his boyhood club - who were in the relegation zone when the coronavirus pandemic halted the 2019-20 Premier League season - during the next transfer window and is poised to spark a bidding war.

Standard Sport understands United have identified Grealish as one of their main targets, along with Jadon Sancho and James Maddison.

However, it has recently been speculated that Spurs, Manchester City and Everton also hold an interest in the talented midfielder, who has scored six goals and registered seven assists for Villa this term.

But former Villa striker Bent believes Grealish would favour a move to Old Trafford first.

“I think Jack Grealish has got his sights set on maybe three teams," he told Football Insider.

“I would say probably Manchester United, Manchester City, and potentially maybe Spurs.

"I think they’re the three that are looking at him, and he’s eyeing them thinking, ‘I’d like to go to one of them’.

“I’d probably put Man United at the very, very top of that. If that doesn’t happen and Villa go down, you never know, but for me, he’s got his eye on them.”
