Jack Fowler denied that other islanders are in competition with each other after fallout rumours emerged since spilling out of the villa.
It comes as this year's Love Island girls are reportedly in a bitter "feud" with each other over bagging different big brand deals.
The 22-year-old also confessed that he keeps his friends close, suggesting that he knows who his real pals from the show are since he left the 2018 series.
When asked if his pal Joanna Chimonides, who he's known for years, and was a contestant on this year's series knows anything about the feuds, Jack admitted not really.
He exclusively told the Mirror Online: "You're your own person. The way I look at it, if I don’t get the job and someone else is offered it, it's because I wasn't right.
"It weren't because anyone's better than me, they just wanted something different.
"I've never fallen out with anyone just because they got a job over me, but I keep my friends close."
Jack formed a bromance with Josh Denzel , Wes Nelson , Jack Fincham and Adam Collard in the 2018 series, and told us he is still just as close with them now.
"I see Josh and Wes all the time, it literally is a trio," he laughed.
Jack added: "Even Jack and Adam, we get on really well. It's just chances and things like this we get to see each other more often," referring to big events where they can meet up.
But with the recent news that he is going solo with a music career, the star admitted he hasn't really seen any of the rumors which are circling, as he is focusing on himself.
He said: "I mean I've been so focused on this music thing that I'm doing with the video and the track, and everything else that's happening for me.
"I kinda just - not turn my ears off to it, but try and just focus on myself."
