Jack Fincham loses to Jake Paul's sparring partner - but bout is not scored

Jack Fincham lost every round of his fight with Anthony Taylor - but the bout was deemed an exhibition and not scored.

Love Island star Fincham had been due to make his professional debut against Jake Paul's former sparring partner, but he came in seven pounds overweight at Saturday's weigh-in. The bout was therefore changed to an exhibition bout with no winner declared.

But Taylor, who has also taken Tommy Fury the distance, was the superior fighter and would have had his hand raised had the bout gone to the judges' scorecards. "I brought the heat, even though it was a draw, it was an exhibition because of weight issues," he said.

Taylor looked to take the fight to Fincham in the early stages as the Love Islander found himself pinned on the ropes. But Fincham composed himself and began to pop out his jab while Taylor switched downstairs to the body. Taylor landed the best shot of the round when an overhand right landed flush but Fincham did well to take it on the chin.

Taylor was the wilder of the two as Fincham slipped away early in the second session - but then shipped a left hook flush to the chin. Fincham's jab was causing Taylor problems but the Brit was unable to land it regularly as the fight threatened to slip away from the debutant.

Taylor looked to make a statement at the start of the third round as he returned to throwing his trusty overhand right. Fincham, meanwhile, was unable to sustain his attacks and then looked to be on shaky legs as another right hand connected. The reality star appeared to need a stoppage in the fourth and final stanza but Taylor again starter the stronger as he landed to the body at will.

And another right hand again forced Fincham to hold on for dear life as the Londoner at least proved he can take a shot. And the debutant managed to hear the final bell before the bout was scored a draw.
