Jack Fincham 'doesn't know' if he loved Dani Dyer as he breaks silence on split

Until now he's refused to really open up on his split from fellow Love Island winner Dani Dyer - so much so that the silence is said to have ticked off TV bosses.

But Jack Fincham has finally given them, and the former couple's fans, his reasons behind the breakdownn of the pair's relationship.

It was reported that his refusal to talk about his ex after being signed up for Celebs Go Dating had annoyed execs.

Early on in the show he was remaining tight-lipped, but has clearly had a change of heart - and Jack revealed he isn't certain if it was ever true love.

Dating agents Anna Williamson and Paul Brunson weren't letting him avoid the subject during Thursday night's episode.

Asked if he'd ever been in love, the hunk replied: "I don't know now".

Finally talking, he added: "I had three serious girlfriends, long-term. You know, being with them, I've said "I love you" to all of them. Did I? I really don't know."

Anna and Paul went in for the kill and asked specifically about Dani.

"If we had lived in Love Island forever, we’d have been fine," he added.

"We rushed it straight away, I let her rush me a bit. We moved straight in together. I did want to and I wish we had waited.

"We had a genuine connection in there and I think anyone can see that. Honestly, and I mean it, I wish her all the happiness in the world."

He added: "I’m not a bitter person. I am 100 per cent over Dani and now I want to go and meet someone.

"I've missed out on so much dating. I haven't done it on over a year."

Dani spoke to Jonathan Ross about the break-up in the aftermath of their split.

"When we first came out of Love Island, we moved into a flat together and we started filming our own show," she said.

"It was sort of way too much and our flat became a work home. It was really hard because we weren’t having those exciting times where you miss each other.

"The things I like about living apart is that when I come home, I know it’ll be clean. With Jack, I didn’t know what was going to have happened. I rang his mum and I said, “I don’t know how you’ve dealt with him!”

‘He’ll drink a can of coke and then leave it in the fridge, then I would get so upset about it and we’d be rowing over a towel, the row would be over a towel because I’d be like, “Where is your respect for me?”

"It’s always over something silly."
