Jack Fincham bites back at boxing critics as he shows off his war wounds

Love Island winner Jack Fincham hit back at his haters who say he is only stepping into the boxing ring for money.

The slimmed-down 26-year-old telly star is working towards becoming a professional boxer.

Last year, Jack turned his attention to his health and fitness after discovering his BMI was verging on being classed as obese.

He is ramping up the ring work but hasn't escaped criticism.

Jack has been accused of putting on the gloves for a quick pay day - and he bit back at those saying that cash is his number one motivation.

Sports a bloody nose and a black eye, he took to his Instagram Stories to set the record straight.

"I have got a few war wounds!" he said in the video.

"It ain't no joke, you can get really hurt in there - I am doing this for real and I want to realise a dream.

"It's not just me walking out under lights. You put yourself through hell.

"For all you sofa critics out there I would love to see you do two rounds. I'm not doing this for money."

Jack piled on the pounds after moving out of his mum's house last year, having won the Love Island jackpot of £50,000.

Now looking trim and in super shape, his ambition is to turn pro.

He told iFL TV he has now worked his life around boxing - and wants to take the next step after regaining the “fire” to be a fighter.

The star said: “I went back to boxing not that long ago and then started filming a TV show, so couldn’t commit as much as I wanted to.

He has a dream to turn pro - and says it's not about a pay day (PA)

“With boxing, you can’t play boxing, you can’t do it half-heartedly, you’ve got to be there every day in that gym working.

“Now I’ve sort of managed to work my life around the boxing, I’ve gone back to it properly, and I do want to turn over, I do wanna turn pro.

“I meant to do it at the age of 18 but circumstances change and I didn’t do it."
