Jack Colback walking disciplinary tightrope at Nottingham Forest

Jack Colback is walking disciplinary tightrope at Nottingham Forest.

The on-loan Newcastle United midfielder picked up his 14th league booking of the season in Saturday’s 2-1 win with Swansea City at the City Ground, as goals from Daryl Murphy and Molla Wague completed a dramatic comeback.

Having already served a two-match ban for collecting 10 bookings earlier in the campaign, another booking would see Colback miss three of Forest's seven remaining games under FA disciplinary rules.

Colback has been a key part of the Forest starting XI this term, and made his 34th league appearance in Saturday’s success over the Swans, which kept Martin O'Neill's men in touch with the top six.

The booking in the 59th minute at the City Ground, was Colback’s third in a row having picked up a cautions in the defeat against Aston Villa and draw at Ipswich before the international break.

Forest are next in action on the road at Rotherham next Saturday, themselves reeling from their 6-1 hammering at Derby, and a caution at the New York Stadium would see the combative midfielder miss the trip to Sheffield Wednesday, along with games against Blackburn and Sheffield United on Good Friday.

Jack Robinson is the only other Forest player to have reached double figures when it comes to yellow cards.

The ex-QPR man who was left out of the side against Graham Potter’s Swans, has 10 to his name so far this term, with Forest sitting top of the second tier when it comes to bookings received - they've amassed 94 thus far.
