Jack Clarke set to depart Leeds United for Tottenham Hotspur with transfer deal close

Jack Clarke’s Leeds United future is in jeopardy as a Tottenham Hotspur transfer edges closer with an agreement understood to be close.

LeedsLive understands managing director Angus Kinnear continued talks with the Premier League giants this morning and the teenager is expected to travel south today.

While the final transfer fee remains unclear, it is expected to be higher than the £8.5m with add-ons reported elsewhere since Sunday.

The 18-year-old burst onto the scene with United last season and memorably hit the headlines when he terrorised Derby County in his first Championship start.

Clarke’s form tailed off after he collapsed at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium in February, but he returned to pre-season with the Whites on Monday with the rest of his team-mates.

As with the last two summers, United and Andrea Radrizzani are under pressure to generate transfer sales to keep the books balanced.
