Jack Clarke set for loan transfer to QPR and could make his debut against Leeds

Jack Clarke is set to join QPR and could make his debut against his beloved Leeds on Saturday.

QPR are poised to beat a host of rival Championship clubs and Celtic to sign Clarke on Ioan from Tottenham for the rest of the season.

The teenage winger was recalled by Spurs over Christmas and is in line to face his old club at Loftus Road in his first game for Rangers.

Clarke, 19, has never faced Leeds before and watched them in last week’s FA Cup loss to Arsenal with the away fans at the Emirates to show his support.

He was gutted his return to Leeds following his £10million transfer to Tottenham in the summer did not work out.

Clarke made just three appearances under Marcelo Bielsa and managed just 19 minutes of league action as a substitute against Luton in November 23.

He starred last season as Leeds missed out on promotion in the play-offs and made 24 appearances after Bielsa handed him his debut in October 2018.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho was keen for Clarke to go back out on loan for the remainder of the campaign because he feels he needs to be playing first-team football.

QPR, Derby, Nottingham Forest, Fulham , Millwall, Middlesbrough and Celtic were all keen and Spurs and Clarke have opted for a move to Loftus Road.

Clarke will keen for his time at QPR to go well and re-ignite his stalled career.
