Jack Butland to Rangers latest as keeper confirms Crystal Palace exit

Jack Butland has shared a farewell message with Crystal Palace supporters as he nears a move to Rangers.

Earlier today we reported Butland has arrived in Glasgow to go through formalities before being announced as a Rangers player.

And the keeper has now confirmed he will be leaving Crystal Palace at the end of his contract.

Former England international Butland, 30, spent the second half of last season on loan at Manchester United.

But he's now set to clinch a move to Rangers with Michael Beale landing his goalkeeping target in the summer on a free transfer.

Confirming his Palace exit, Butland posted on Twitter: "I would like to thank everybody at @CPFC  for making my time in South London so enjoyable and the fans for the support we were given everywhere we went.

"I made friends and memories I won't forget and I wish you nothing but the best moving forward! JB"

The former Stoke City keeper is set to become Beale's third signing of the summer with Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling already in the door at Ibrox.

And Butland could be quickly followed by Jose Cifuentes who is poised to quit LAFC and head for an Ibrox medical in the near future.
