Jack Butland names the four best finishers at Manchester United

Jack Butland thinks Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes are the strongest finishers in front of goal at Manchester United.

Rashford became the first United player since Robin van Persie in 2012/13 to reach the 30-goal mark this season. The academy graduate has enjoyed a wonderful campaign and was named Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year as recognition.

The forward has shouldered the burden of finding the net for the majority of the campaign and Erik ten Hag, who is concerned about the lack of goals elsewhere, has made signing a centre-forward his priority this summer.

Although the team often struggled to kill off opponents in games during the season, the squad remains full of capable attackers and loanee goalkeeper Butland has witnessed that first-hand during his stint training at Carrington.

Butland is set to join Rangers following the expiration of his loan, but ahead of his departure, he sat down with United's in-house media to discuss his experience of training with the club's strongest finishers.

"I think you've got different ones," Butland said when asked about the best finishers. "You've got Rashy, who is pretty ruthless. You've got Anthony Martial, who is really cultured and great with his finishing, calm.

"Christian [Eriksen]. Bruno is a top, top finisher from distance. I've not seen many as prolific from outside the box and confident in where he's putting it and how he puts it there."

Young stopper Nathan Bishop added: "You've got to put Scott [McTominay] in there. Scott, he slips into that category."

The 23-year-old Bishop then revealed who the best free-kick takers are, saying: "We do a lot of work, a lot of practice. So I think, like seeing individuals that go at it every day and that are focused on their individual free-kicks.

"I think like, Christian, Bruno. You've got longer range, you've got Rashy, but Marcel [Sabitzer] fits in there as well."
