Jack Aitchison in Celtic reminder as on-loan striker shows his killer touch

In-form Jack Aitchison has sent Celtic a reminder of his abilities after netting once again for English League Two side Forest Green Rovers.

The Scotland youth striker, now 19, is finding his feet south of the border and his strike against Morecambe on Tuesday comes hot off the heels of his striker against Mansfield at the weekend.

Aitchison burst onto the scene in 2016 after he became the club's youngest ever score when he netted in the 7-0 rout of Motherwell on the final day of the season.

But the forward has only made two more senior appearances since then and has spent time with Dumbarton and Alloa Athletic on loan.

Aitchison is now reaping the rewards of his fresh challenge in England and will be looking to add to his three strikes in nine appearances for the promotion chasers.

The academy product was regarded as one of the club's finest young talents but he will be fully aware the time is now to stake his claim.

A batch of rising stars, headlined by 16-year-old Karamoko Dembele , are aiming to become regular first-team fixtures in the coming years.

Teenage pair Armstrong Oko-Flex and Jonathan Afolabi are also desperate to turn heads with Neil Lennon name-checking the pair as future stars on Monday.

But Aitchison will also come back into the conversation if he continues to find the back of the net.

The Scotland U19 regular is under contract with the Premiership champions until 2021.
