Jachai Polite finds a third team in 2019

Jachai Polite has found his way to his third team of his rookie year.

The Los Angeles Rams signed Polite to their practice squad on Wednesday. He was previously on the Seahawks practice squad before being recently released by them.

Polite was a third-round pick out of Florida by the Jets in this year’s draft. He was a risky pick by Mike Maccagnan given his rawness at outside linebacker and his documented character concerns. It turned out all the things that were said about Polite were true; he was cut by New York at the end of the preseason. It was then reported that the Jets fined Polite repeatedly for showing up late.

The 21-year-old was then signed to the Seahawks practice squad a few days after being released by the Jets. He lasted about three weeks before getting released again.

Since Polite is a rookie, teams aren’t ready to give up on him just yet. But three teams in five months is not a good start, so we’ll see how long Polite stays with the Rams.
