Jablonec in bizarre row as Celtic clash looms after owner makes unusual half time intervention

FK Jablonec have been involved in a bizarre incident ahead of their trip to face Celtic in Europa League qualifying.

The Czech side's owner caused a stir on Sunday by bursting into the referee's dressing room at half time during the club's 2-2 draw with Bohemians - to apologise for the behaviour of his own manager.

Miroslav Pelta spoke with the officials at the interval, unbeknownst to team boss Petr Rada.

Bohemians launched an official complaint about the incident and Jablonec were forced to explain why their owner had confronted the ref before offering an unusual reason.

A Jablonec spokesman said: "The owner of the club went to the referees to apologise for the overly irritated behaviour of coach Petr Rada."

Bohemians manager Ludek Klusacek said: "I find it incredible that the owner of a club was allowed to go into the dressing rooms of the referee at half time.

"How do you think that looks to everyone?"

However, Rada insisted he wasn't interested in the actions of the club's owner.

He said: "I don't care what happens behind the scenes.

"All I am interested in is what happens on the pitch."

Celtic lead 4-2 from the first leg of the third qualifying round clash, with Ange Postecoglou's team strong favourites to progress when the teams meet again on Thursday.

Goals from Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi, James Forrest and Ryan Christie earned victory for the Hoops in the Czech Republic last week.
