Ja Morant included Paul George in his ‘Dream Team’ starting lineup

With the 2019 NBA Draft now less than a month away, projected No. 2 overall pick Ja Morant has been busy in between working out by making his rounds on various media outlets.

Two weeks ago, Morant appeared on the Posted Up podcast with Yahoo Sports reporter Chris Haynes and said he hated that Damian Lillard knocked out Russell Westbrook and the Thunder from the NBA Playoffs.

Morant has made it no secret that he has modeled his game after Westbrook. He likes his all-around game and ability to get his teammates involved and he tries to play the same way.

Westbrook may take issue with what Morant said recently, though.

Appearing on Take it There with Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks, Morant listed his ‘Dream Team’ starting five and left off his role model. Instead, Morant included Paul George.

I have to go with me first at point guard. I like Paul George to be my two; he also plays defense. It’s a tough position for three – I don’t know if I’ll pick K.D. or ‘Bron. Probably K.D. because ‘Bron can make plays but I feel like I can be that facilitator for this team. For the four, I’m going to have to go with The Greek Freak. My five: A.D.

Morant has a solid starting lineup of current NBA players after he included himself in the conversation over Westbrook. Although some Thunder fans may take LeBron James over Kevin Durant (for obvious reasons).

With the NBA Draft order now set, it appears to be a lock that Morant ends up with the Memphis Grizzlies after drawing the No. 2 pick in the Lottery last week.

That first meeting against the Thunder should be something to watch for.
