Ja’Marr Chase senses improved energy around Bengals this week

It turns out that Cincinnati Bengals center Ted Karras isn’t the only veteran feeling a different type of energy around the team this week.

Count Ja’Marr Chase as one of those who feels like there’s more energy around the team this week compared to the energy before the loss to Pittsburgh one week ago.

“Last week, we didn’t have so much energy like we did this week,” Chase said, according to Jay Morrison of Pro Football Network. “Just getting everybody more involved into practice like we do.”

Chase jokingly suggested that perhaps not practicing out in the cold had something to do with it. But he certainly agreed that getting his runningmate Tee Higgins back on the field is a big part of it for him personally, too.

Kidding aside, it will be interesting to see if this new energy isn’t just typical player talk and actually has an impact on how the Bengals look as they attempt to salvage their season during a primetime game.
