Cincinnati Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase says he can’t even get in touch with former LSU teammate and current Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson.
Appearing on Rich Eisen’s show, Chase revealed in response to a question about upcoming wideout mega-contracts that he can’t even seem to get in touch with Jefferson.
“He’s actually pretty hard to get in touch with,” Chase said. “He’s pretty hard to get in touch with. Hey Justin, if you see this man, give me a phone call please brother.”
And later, about the contracts: “Yeah, we got some numbers to talk about.”
It’s all in good fun with Chase here, as always when he’s with the media. The two must talk somewhat frequently, considering they appeared in an NFL ad together at the start of the season.
Jefferson, though, is indeed up first for a big contract, with Chase eligible next offseason.
