J-school prof ditched for plagiarism

A professor at the Missouri school of journalism has lost his column in a university paper after admitting that he committed "unintentional" plagiarism. The Missourian reported that in one of his columns for the paper John Merrill had lifted quotes and other phrases from another paper. Merrill calls the incident a tempest in a teapot.
