J.R. Smith had a beautiful Kobe Bryant tribute on his shoes Monday

The Los Angeles Lakers paid tribute to Kobe Bryant in Monday night’s Game 4 by wearing special “Black Mamba” uniforms and also dismantling the Portland Trail Blazers to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series heading into Game 5. In addition to the jerseys, many of the Lakers found other ways to honor Kobe, whether it was with something they wore arriving at the game or something they wore on court. In the case of J.R. Smith, he had a pretty cool message written on his shoes inspired by Bryant’s legacy.

Kyle Goon of the Southern California News Group, who is in the bubble, saw that Smith had ‘What Would Kobe Bryant Do?’ written on one shoe while it said ‘SHOOT.’ on the other.

Kobe was never bashful on the court and Smith never has been either, so it makes perfect sense why Smith would have that message and tribute to Bryant on a day that was all about honoring his memory.
