J.K. Rowling is releasing four new Harry Potter stories

Muggles, rejoice! Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is releasing four new books centred in the wizarding world next month.

To be released on Harry Potter site Pottermore on June 27, the non-fiction eBook series is called ‘Harry Potter: A Journey Through…’.

Each of the four ‘bite size’ shorts centre around a Hogwarts lesson – including Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions and Herbology, Divination and Astronomy and Care of Magical Creatures.

While they won’t follow the adventures of Harry Potter, these books will, according to Pottermore, explore ‘origins of magic through history and folklore’ and ‘feature notes, manuscript pages and charming sketches’.

The sketches featured in the stories are new line drawings from London-based artist Rohan Daniel Eason.

Only two of the books, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology, will be published on June 27, while the other two will follow soon after.

The eBooks are just £1.99 each and will initially be available in English, French, Italian and German.
