J.K. Dobbins scores first career NFL touchdown

It’s hopefully the first of many for former Ohio State and current Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins. Though he was listed as the No. 4 option at the position when the first depth chart was released this week, Dobbins has gotten his fair share of touches in Baltimore’s first game against the Browns. And in a dream realized moment, he made one of them count for his first career NFL touchdown.

On 1st and goal from the 4-yard line, Dobbins took a handoff and went around left tackle and bullied his way into the end zone. Baltimore was up just 10-6 at the time, so it’s clear the Ravens’ coaching staff has confidence in the former Ohio State star in crucial situations.

In fact, through the first half, Dobbins had the second-most carries of any running back behind only starter Mark Ingram.

If you missed Dobbins’ touchdown, you can get a look at it below thanks to the video tweet shared by the official Ravens’ Twitter video post.

Now we sit back and watch Dobbins’ career unfold and how long it takes for him to be an even bigger part of the offense in Baltimore. Head coach John Harbaugh has already made it known that he’ll likely have a significant role with the team and that appears to be playing out.
