J.J. Watt’s teammates and coaches reportedly believe ‘he’s played his last game as a Texan’

The Houston Texans are going to be a completely different looking team by the time next season rolls around.

Obviously, things with Deshaun Watson are up in the air after his alleged trade request. If he has it his way, he won’t play for the Texans next season — he’s made that clear.

The organization has also said they’re refusing to move on from him despite it clearly being too late to convince him to stay. But he’s not the only big name that might be on the move this offseason.

Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt might also be on the move soon, according to reports from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and James Palmer.

Rapoport said the organization knows it has a decision to make on Watt’s future. Palmer said Watt’s coaches and teammates believe he’s “played his last game as a Texan.”

Man. That’s rough. Three or four years ago if you told anyone what Watson, Deandre Hopkins and Watt would become and how good they’d be, they’d probably be an easy pick for a Super Bowl.

Instead, fast forward to today and all three of them will probably be suiting up for different teams come the start of the 2021-22 season.

That’s so wild.
