J.J. Watt reveals he’s signing with the Arizona Cardinals

Any visions of J.J. Watt in a Cleveland Browns uniform are now dashed. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year is going to sign with the Arizona Cardinals.

Watt tweeted out a picture of himself in Cardinals gear working out with the “source: me” tag on Monday. It follows earlier speculation during the day that Watt was heading to either Green Bay or Cleveland based on a Peloton profile.

The Browns were often looked at as serious contenders to sign Watt, who was released at his request by the Houston Texans in February. But ultimately Watt is choosing to join former Texans teammate DeAndre Hopkins in the NFC West with Arizona.

The Browns still have many options to fill in the starting DE spot opposite Myles Garrett. It’s a robust free agent class and also a promising draft class for pass rush help.
