J.J. Watt offers to pay funeral expenses for Waukesha Christmas parade victims

Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman J.J. Watt is known for his philanthropy.

The three-time Defensive Play of the Year was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, scene of the horrific Christmas parade tragedy Sunday that has seen 6 people die and 62 injured.

On Wednesday, it was reported Watt has offered to pay the funeral expenses for those who tragically lost their lives.

Watt played football at Pewaukee High School in Waukesha.

Five victims were initially identified as 81-year-old Wilhelm Hospel, 79-year-old Virginia Sorenson, 71-year-old LeAnna Owen, 52-year-old Tamara Durand, and 52-year-old Jane Kulich.

An 8-year-old child, Jackson Sparks, was identified as the sixth victim. He underwent brain surgery on Sunday night but succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night.
