J Balvin is openly speaking about his struggle with mental health.

In a series of videos shared to Instagram Stories Tuesday, the “Colores” artist told his followers he’s been encountering trying times in his life.

“Like any human being, I’ve had some challenges,” the Colombian artist said in Spanish. “This time it’s anxiety and some depression.”

Balvin, 35, continued to speak about his mental state, adding that he likes to remain true to how he’s feeling.

“I don’t like acting or faking my happiness or that everything is perfect,” he said. ”I’m like any human being. I’m fragile and vulnerable, possibly more than all of you.”

The Latin Grammy award-winning artist ended his message on a note of positivity.

“Soon the storm will pass and I’ll be back cracking jokes with you all,” he said. “I’m not here to act but to be real and share what I’m feeling in the moment.”

He signed off his video with his real name: ”I love you all. Jose.”

Balvin has previously opened up about his mental health. Last year, the “Mi Gente” artist shared a selfie to Instagram and shared that he suffers from anxiety and it’s not something to take lightly. The artist also encouraged others who struggle with anxiety to seek help and reassured people that it’s OK to ask for help.

His openness about his mental health has also inspired other stars, including Camila Cabello, who shared her own struggles.

“During a period of intense anxiety, I saw his posts on Instagram talking about his struggle with anxiety and mental health, and I remember bursting out crying because I no longer felt alone, amazed that someone who was achieving such incredible things was still vulnerable and brave enough to share that with the world,” Cabello wrote about Balvin in Time’s September issue, chronicling its 2020 list of the “100 Most Influential People.”
