More than 30 years after he last steamed across our steams, Ivor the Engine is back! Not on the small screen, alas – well, not yet – but in a charity book to raise money for the Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad, reports the Times. The name of the new story? Bluebell's Christmas Mission, written by Dan Postgate, son of Oliver Postgate, who wrote the original stories illustrated by Peter Firmin. Come on Ivor! Now, where's Idris the Dragon gone?
