Ivan Perisic eyes potential reunion with former boss at Spurs and Antonio Conte on Brentford win

Here is your Spurs morning digest on Friday, December 3rd.

Conte outlines potential Perisic plans

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has praised Ivan Perisic's attitude of late, potentially hinting at a reunion between the pair within the upcoming transfer window.

Conte, who arrived after departing Italian champions Inter Milan in May, has already made it very clear the changes he wishes to implement in putting his own stamp on this current Spurs side.

His Tottenham team beat Brentford last night but reinforcements may be required if they are to put together a string of positive results.

Conte's toughest test yet

Conte has made it clear he understands the magnitude of the task at hand with this Spurs side, indicating this is his most challenging job to date.

The 52-year-old, whose CV shows time with the Italian national team, Juventus and with Chelsea, has revealed it does not scare him how much work has to be done, but only further drives him to help The Lilywhites even more.

Conte hails Skipp after win over Brentford

Antonio Conte hailed the performance of Oliver Skipp following his side’s 2-0 win over Brentford.

Spurs sealed all three points thanks to an own goal from Sergi Canos and second half strike from Son Heung-min, however Conte picked Skipp for praise after an impressive midfield display.

“He played with great intensity, great passion, with heart, with soul," said Conte during his post-match press conference.

"I think it was important because for me he doesn’t care if he’s only 21-years-old, who deserves to play.

“Today he played well. I think that I can improve him a lot in possession and technically, to look before the play that they have to do. We’re talking about an important prospect and I'm very happy for him, but now he has to continue in this way.”
