ITV4 The Chase viewers 'gutted' as lawyer gets knocked out after going for top offer

Tonight (August 3) saw another episode of STV's The Chase return to our screens - or ITV for those outside of Scotland.

Four contestants took to our TVs tonight with Sharon, Ravi, Max and Ali all fighting for the chance to take home The Chase crown.

And of course, a share of the jackpot.

The episode came after Tuesday (August 2) night's episode where people at home were left feeling sorry for one student, Ellie, who should have secured £4,000 rather than £3,000 after she was found to have got a Scottish question 'wrong' - although those viewing the show argued that she was actually correct.

Going up against the four hopefuls was Mark Labbet, also known as 'The Beast'. Two players, Max and Ali, both gained £7,000 in the cash builder round with Ali making it home for the final round whilst Max sadly went home.

However third up was Ravi who went big going for the top offer of £40,000. And he seemed to charm Bradley as well as those watching at home.

However whilst things were going smoothly, viewers were left 'gutted' after the cheerful player was knocked out.

Taking to social media, people were clearly sad for the quizzing player who showed a lot of hope - and brought a smile to the table.

Reacting to him being out one said: "That's a shame. Good man, Ravi."

Another joked: "Ravi unravelled."

"Gutted he's out" wrote a third.
