ITV4 The Chase: Scottish player praised as 'excellent quizzer' by Chaser and Bradley Walsh

Tonight (August 25) saw another episode of The Chase return to our screens with four players trying their best to take home a cash prise by answering as many questions as they can.

It saw Jenni, Hamish, Francesca and Mark all work together to try and bring home their cash builder prize and take home a share of the prize money.

First up was Jenni who gained £6,000 in the cash builder but sadly didn't take any of the money home.

After Jenni, next to take on the Chaser, which in tonight's episode was Mark Labbett, was Hamish from Aberdeen. Having done well in the cash builder, the Scots scored five questions right and was ready to move to the next round.

The Chaser then offered him £1,000 as his lower offer and a whopping £30,000 as his top offer, but after talking to his team - and to be on the safe side - Hamish went for the five thousand from his first round and opted for the middle offer.

Hamish did very well and thankfully managed to get home with host Bradley Walsh then calling him a "very good player". But he wasn't the only one to praise him with the Chaser adding that the Aberdonian answered every question right stating "his strength is not speed but working things out."

Taking to Twitter, many people pointed out that Hamish naturally looked a little nervous throughout the show with others saying that he aced the first two rounds.

One said: "Well played Hamish."

Another added: "Excellent show from Hamish."

"Hamish is so cute" said a third.
