Viewers of ITV2's reality dating show Love Island were left confused by new boy, Finley Tapp's explanation for being on the show.
The 20-year-old from Milton Keynes took Siânnise on a date in romantic vineyard and explained to her that he was finally looking for love having just got out of a four year relationship, four/five months ago, saying "the timing wasn't right".
And fans of the programme defiantly thought timing was an issue here, quickly taking to Twitter to ask when exactly did the semi-pro footballer actually apply for the show.
@Medusash_ said: " Single for four months out of a four-year relationship? But when did you apply???????"
@bobbiv82 said: " Finley just got out of a four and a half year relationship four months ago because the timing wasn’t right. He needed to get his application in for @LoveIsland that’s why!!"
@aChildOf2Worlds said: "Four -five months single...right on time for the casting."
@Nath_S__said: " This man has been single 5 months? How is he on the show if the applying process takes ages?"
Others just questioned if he could really be ready for another relationship, @jaydeblunden1 said: " Lol did that Finley just say he came out of a 4 year relationship a couple of months ago because it wasn’t the right time, but now he wants to settle down in a relationship?"
Ahead of his time in the villa, Finn said he fancies Siânnise, Paige and Sophie and added: "It’ll be great if I come out of the villa with mates but if I need to step on toes to get the girl I like, I’ll do it.
"I’ve always been loyal. Whenever I start getting the wandering eye, it’s time to break up. Who knows what could happen in the villa!"
*Love Island is on ITV2, evenings from 9pm
