Love Island viewers have been left confused and brand Maura Higgins 'a snake' after bizarre sign from angels.
The Irish ring girl is looking at making a play for Curtis Pritchard, less than 24 hours after he and Amy broke up.
And it all began in the kitchen when Maura was speaking with Curtis about his ongoing drama with Amy. As the pair chatted, a white feather landed on the kitchen surface.
Maura said: "They say that a white feather is an angel close-by trying to tell you something. Have you not heard about that?"
Curtis said: "Continue. Elaborate."
Maura said: "It means something."
Curtis added: "I wonder what it means."
Smiling, Maura said: "We might not ever know."
Fans found the whole exchange odd, given then they already knew she has her eye on the ballroom dancer.
One said: "Is Maura seriously going to pursue him because of a fecking FEATHER !!!??"
Another said: "Safe to say Maura's white feather story replaces the legendary "so I travelled across Europe..." Sorry Joey, all hail queen Maura."
A third said: "Maura makes her move with a feather... smooth."
And a fourth added: "Maura that is a feather off a pigeon."
Later Maura, 28, told Lucie she is attracted to the newly-single Curtis.
She said: "He’s obviously gorgeous. He’s very manly and I love that. He’s funny. He’s the whole package for me.
"There have been so many times where I want him to teach me how to dance."
Maura later reflected in the Beach Hut, she said: "I had a chat with him today in the kitchen. If he wants a shoulder to cry on, I’ll be here!"
But viewers were not happy with her confession, some accusing her of breaking the 'girl code'.
One said: "Loved Maura, Maura is now a snake."
Another said: "Maura banged on about girl code to Elma yet she does this to Amy. snake."
A third said: "Why is Maura being a snake?? Like give him a couple days hun COME ON. AND ARE YOU GONNA TALK TO AMY? NO? OBVIOUSLY NOT."
But another added: "So what if Maura is a snake for getting with Curtis, she is bringing the drama right now!"
