Love Island viewers saw Ollie backtrack during an awkward conversation with Lewis Capaldi's ex Paige.
The Cornish heir announced he was leaving the show earlier today just hours before tonight's installment aired.
A Love Island spokesperson says: “Ollie has made the decision to leave the Love Island villa.”
Explaining his reasons for leaving, Ollie says in the Beach Hut: "I have to be honest with myself, and everyone, that I do still love someone else… I have to follow my heart in this scenario and it would be wrong for me to ignore these feelings.
"At the end of the day, this is Love Island and it’s about finding love. If I carried on anything with Paige, or any other girl that might come into the villa, it wouldn’t be fair on them."
But viewers saw him desperately attempt to wriggle out of a conundrum after it was insinuated Ollie was making a move on Siânnise despite coupling up with Paige.
Paige took Ollie for a private chat, to discuss whether he’d said he also had his eye on Siânnise, following a girls’ chat earlier in the day.
Ollie said: “I did not say to Siânnise I fancy her at any stage.”
Having none of it, Paige called Siânnise over to discuss the conversation.
Siânnise said: “It was completely harmless, but I think you did say, you did have an interest in me and Paige in here. I think you felt like I shut you down a bit.”
Ollie told Paige: “I do not fancy in a romantic sense anybody else in this villa.”
Viewers took to Twitter to discuss the scene.
Lauren said: "Sorry but Ollie did say the only two people he would be interested in is Siannise and Paige so... don’t lie."
Another wrote: "Ollie trying to tell Paige he didn’t say he was interested in Siannise when he clearly did like."
