ITV2 Love Island's Michael Griffiths explains 'rude' comment to Amber

Firefighter Michael Griffiths will attempt to apologise for his apparent rude behaviour towards Amber on tonight's Love Island.

But, his excuse for telling his villa ex to "sit down" might not go down well with some.

Following their intense chat last night, which saw Michael tell Amber he was definitely not interested in a romantic relationship, he will try to say sorry, the Mirror Online reports.

Michael, from Liverpool, pulls Amber for a chat to try and explain, earlier a furious Amber tells Ovie Soko that she has been treated "like a f***ing dog".

There is an awkward apology from Michael (ITV)

Michael says: "When I came over and told you to sit down, it was because you had wearing heels all night and I didn’t want you to walk anywhere else. I am apologising if it came across in a bad way."

Amber is rightfully not content with his weak half-hearted apology.

Michael tries to explain why he told her to 'sit' (ITV)

She replies: "I just think you really need to think about the way you speak to me, because it comes across really badly."

Amber adds: "I knew you before and you never spoke to me in a way that made me feel upset."

Amber doesn't seem impressed with the way she was spoken to (ITV)

Michael says: "I don’t actually want to hurt you and I never have. Right now, it seems that I take all of my frustration out on you."

*Love Island is on ITV2, evenings from 9pm
