ITV2 Love Island fans have some advice for Michael Griffiths

In tonight's episode of Love Island, we saw the other contestants vote for Joanna to leave the villa.

Host Caroline Flack asked Liverpool firefighter Michael how he felt about the decision, he said: "I have found everything I am looking for, and she is leaving."

He tried to grab hold of Joanna, but she swerved his advances and went straight to the girls to say goodbye.

Angry and hurt, she told Michael: "If you have found what you were looking for then you would leave, but you are not because you are a f***** snake."

Michael, 27, was seen crying, and said that he had "f***** it again", after he recoupled with Joanna while Amber was at Casa Amor.

But fans of the ITV2 reality dating show knew exactly what he needed to do.

One said: "If he's THAT bothered then he'd leave. If he really liked Joanna he would walk out that villa and would put her before his friends.

"But he hasn't, even now he's staying. And I think that says it all. He does like Joanna but clearly not enough."

Another said: "Why’s Michael acting like this decision is so hard."

A third said: "Why's he crying like he's being forced to stay in the villa?"

A fourth added: "No point crying if she’s for you leave the villa mate!"

And some had some advice for the girls pushing Amber towards a newly-single Michael.

One said: "Getting really bored of all the girls pushing Michael in Amber’s direction especially Anna, have they all forgotten how he’s treated her/things he said about her???

"I feel she’s so much more suited to Ovie, he brings out the best in her."

Another added: "I feel like this show is so cleverly edited because Michael obviously does like Joanna, they’ve just only showed all the dead conversations."

Later, Michael explained his decision to stay in the villa and not follow Joanna.

He said: "This being a once in a lifetime opportunity and I have made some amazing friends, I would be stupid to give that up."

"Spending time apart can make things better, even if this a challenge for me and Joanna."

*Love Island is on ITV2, evenings from 9pm
