Love Island: Australia viewers were all missing the same thing tonight.
The first series of Love Island: Australia began airing on ITV2 this evening - after the UK's offering was cancelled amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The series took place in a luxury villa in Mallorca and is to be aired nightly on ITV2 at 9pm.
Like the UK version, it features young bronzed singletons who are looking for love - and the chance of bagging a cash prize.
The Australian version of the UK’s favourite dating show is hosted by Sophie Monk and narrated by Eoghan McDermott but viewers were left missing Iain Stirling.
Scottish comedy star Iain Stirling has offered his witty quips when narrating the UK version of the series since it was rebooted in 2015.
His partner Laura Whitmore took over presenting duties from Caroline Flack for the winter edition of the show earlier this year.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
Jen commented: "I just can’t get onboard with a #loveisland without @IainDoesJokes ".
Jasmin said: "idk the name of this narrator but he’s got NOTHING on Iain Stirling".
Ria said: "I [don't] think I want to watch love island as Ian Sterling isn’t commenting".
Chloe added: "I’m already missing @IainDoesJokes commentary on Love Island".
But some viewers, who have already seen the series, jumped to narrator Eoghan McDermott's defence.
One fan said: "I don't care how much y'all will miss Iain no slander towards Eoghan McDermott will be tolerated during this viewing".
The Aussie Islanders will get to know each other in the hope of finding romance but as new bombshells arrive on the Island, couples will be put to the test to try and make it to the final and stand a chance of bagging the $50,000 cash prize.
The series was originally filmed in 2018.
