ITV Who Wants to be a Millionaire fans were "sweating" tonight over the performance of an Oxford graduate on the smash hit quiz show.
In the final episode of the latest series, which was a repeat, university graduate Christopher Page managed to race through the questions after joining host Jeremy Clarkson on the famous stage hoping to win £1million.
Christopher, an English Literature graduate who studied at the University of Oxford, impressed viewers and the presenter with his knowledge.
Before long, the 21-year-old had successfully earned £250,000.
Christopher, who said he wants to be an actor and was auditioning for drama schools, said he'd be spending his winnings on visiting " a lot of places I've never been before."
After a tense and impressive performance, the player left with £250,000 after being unable to answer a question worth £500,000.
The question was: "Who won the Wimbledon ladies' singles title in the year 2000?"
After using a few lifelines, he was left with Lindsay Davenport and Venus Williams as the options.
Christopher believed the correct answer was Venus Williams but said he couldn't risk losing such a large sum of money on a question he wasn't "100% sure" on.
He walked away with £250,000 but his instinct was right - Venus Williams was the correct answer.
Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
