ITV Who Wants to be a Millionaire? wants Liverpool contestants to apply

Who Wants to be a Millionaire is back, with people having the chance to win a life altering sum of money, if they can just get the questions right.

The show is back for six episodes with host Jeremy Clarkson on ITV , but applications for the next series are already open and people from Liverpool are being encouraged to apply.

A producer for the show said: "We are now back casting for our next series! We are searching for Britain’s brightest brains to take part.

"Applications are now open and we would love for Liverpool ECHO readers to apply and be in with the chance to win big. 

"Applications will be closing in October. "

Last season we saw Wirral brainbox and professional online poker player, Jon Stitcher, crash out on a seemingly simple Google question .

And there was Birmingham's John Robinson who was the first person to get to the million-pound question since 2006.

To date, there has been five £1 million winners since Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? first appeared on TV screens.
