Viewers were left in tears as they watched a new Cristiano Ronaldo interview conducted by Piers Morgan.
The former Manchester United forward opened up about the loss of his father during the chat which aired on ITV on Tuesday night.
Ronaldo himself broke down as he was shown a video of his late father, Jose Dinis Aveiro, for the first time.
Mr Averio died of liver failure at the age of just 52 in 2005. His son was 20 years old.
The emotional clip played to the Juventus star shows his dad stood on the doorstep and talking proudly of his young son, long before his huge footballing success.
Wiping tears from his face, Ronaldo said: "I never saw the video. I never saw that video. Unbelievable.

"I think the interview would be funny, but I didn't expect to cry. But I never saw these images. I don't know where you... I have to have these images to show my family.
"But I really don't know my father 100 per cent. He was a drunk person. I never spoke with him, like a normal conversation. It was hard."
And those watching at home clearly felt the Portuguese footballers emotion as they themselves were in tears.
"I'm not crying, your crying," tweeted one.
Another sympathised: "Everything in the world but you cannot place a price on a father's love, that is the most valuable love. We miss them when they are not around."

"#RonaldoMeetsPiers is so emotional! What an amazing man," commented a third.
"A legend has emotions," tweeted another viewer.
"Every lad wants to be the best footballer in the world in the eyes of their dad. Ronaldo just proved this in that amazing interview," a final comment read.
Many praised the 34-year-old for the interview which offered a unique insight into the former Real Madrid star's life.
During his career, Ronaldo has racked up five Champions League crowns, five Ballon d'Or awards and a number of league titles as well as the European Championships and the Nations League with Portugal.
