ITV Tipping Point player makes history with double drop leaving Tony Bellew stunned

Tipping Point fans were sent into a frenzy on Wednesday night after contestant Clive scooped a record-breaking £20,000.

Four players took on the machine in the hope of winning its £10,000 jackpot - but no one would have expected what happened next.

Clive made it through to the final, after his fellow contestants were knocked out.

He put the jackpot counter into play, hoping to get it out again and earn £10,000.

But should he not get the jackpot, Clive also had the opportunity to earn money through the smaller £50 counters and 2x counters, which would double what fell.

Towards the end of the show, Clive had only secured £2,450.

But putting one of his remaining counters in the third zone, Clive managed to push not only the £10,000 jackpot counter but also one of the 2x counters.

This meant he won £20,000 - a figure which has never been won before.

Many viewers rushed to praise Clive's showstopping performance, including Liverpool boxer Tony Bellew.

The Evertonian wrote on Twitter: "Wow well done to Clive on #TippingPoint winning 20k didn’t think I’d ever see that won tbh and I’ve been watching it for years..."
