ITV Tipping Point fans 'recognise' winning contestant

Tipping Point fans tuned into this week's second instalment as Ben Shephard fronted the popular ITV quiz show on Tuesday.

Under its new format, the show now sees three hopefuls take on a larger than life version of the old school coin fall machine in the hopes of winning more than just a couple of pounds. With multiple rounds, contestants must answer questions correctly in order to drop a coin and if it falls successfully, their cash prize rises.

Mandip, Pam and Joe were the latest hopefuls taking on the arcade-style machine in the hopes of winning a prize.

After a rocky start to the show, Joe managed to make it to the final. The customer service adviser from South Wales managed to get a string of correct answers.

But it was his appearance that had viewers talking. Taking to Twitter, many thought they "recognised him", as they believe he looks similar to a famous comedian.

Steff Smith said: "Been annoying me where I recognised him from, looks like @chrisramsay52". Luke Hayes simply said: "CHRIS RAMSAY KLAXON".

Other fans were full of compliments for Joe. Samantha said: "Joe is cute and quite intelligent", while Tedwardo said: "Is Joe single? Asking for myself". Carolyn said: "Joe is adorable".

It was a good day for Joe, who managed to leave the studio with £3,600 cash, as well as a hamper he won in an earlier round.

Tipping Point airs weekdays from 4pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
