Tipping Point fans have issued a damning verdict after the show switched from four contestants to three.
As part of the ITV show's 10-year birthday celebrations, a crucial change has been made to the long untouched format. Instead of inviting four contestants to compete, there are now only three.
Normally, the four contestants represented the four potential coin drop slots but the switch up has left fans asking not only why the change has been made but also how they will pad out the show. Viewers also begged the question of why the new format couldn't involve losing contestants taking home their cash prizes.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "New format but still not allowed to take whatever money they make home with them #tippingpoint". As it stands, only the finalist is allowed to take home their winnings.
Another viewer added: "When #TippingPoint made changes to the format, they should have included losing contestants walking away with whatever money that they obtained throughout the episode."
Some viewers speculated the show is running out of contestants and that may be the reason for the format change. Overall, the switch up has been unwelcomed by those who regularly tweet along with the show.
Another viewer said: "#tippingpoint Nope I don’t like this new format." One more added: "Less people, more chat. Don't like it." A final comment said: "I still don't like this new format. #tippingpoint"
Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
