ITV Tipping Point fans feel forced to 'mute' programme just minutes in

Fans of Tipping Point felt it was best to watch with the mute button on today.

Ben Shephard welcomed players Victoria, Dom and Jenni to the ITV show. They took on quiz questions and the machine with hopes of going home richer.

But while one contestant seemed to give a running commentary on what was happening during each player's drop, fans were less than impressed. Just minutes into the show they were frustrated as Jenni kept talking over Ben and the others.

Taking to Twitter, fans shared their annoyance. Donna said: "I think I might have to put this on mute #tippingpoint" followed by laughing face emojis.

Darren said: "Today's episode is happily sponsored by the mute button. #tippingpoint." Meanwhile, Sarah-Jayne said: "I honestly cannot tolerate contestants on #tippingpoint that give a running enthusiastic commentary to the other contestants." In a later Tweet, she added: "I'll probably just mute the telly."

Fans thought that Jenni would be out of the game early as she accused the counters and machine of being "cruel". In the first round, she only managed to add £100 to her pot after chasing the double counter.

But the game wasn't playing in her favour as it refused to drop for her. Dom soon took his turn and the double counter dropped for him on his first try.

However, Jenni managed to remain in the game a bit longer. She correctly answered a question meaning that she got to drop two penalty counters, putting her in second place.

Tipping Point airs weekdays from 4pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
