Host of ITV game show Tipping Point, Ben Shephard has been on TV for more than 20 years during which time he's enjoyed a very successful presenting career including Good Morning Britain and This Morning.

He later found out that he had suffered a ruptured ACL, torn his meniscus, and ruptured his leg. He later appeared on Good Morning Britain in a leg brace.

Ben had to take several weeks off work as he underwent surgery and described his recovery as "agony".

And just days ago, at the start of 2022, Ben injured his knee causing it to badly swell up.

The TV presenter has always had a love for sports listing kitesurfing, rugby, golf and wakeboarding as some of his hobbies alongside completing 14 marathons in the past 10 years and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with other celebrities including Gary Barlow.

Ben was born in Essex and originally wanted to be an actor and was encouraged to become a TV presenter by a producer when he got a job as a runner for a weather network.

His big break came when he presented Channel 4's The Bigger Breakfast alongside other popular presenters like Melanie Sykes and Dermot O'Leary.

From there, Ben made the move to ITV where he joined GMTV and presented Entertainment Daily and became the cover presenter for GMTV Today.

Soon he was appearing on GMTV Today every Monday, Tuesday, and alternate Wednesday alongside Kate Garraway.

He also presented a spin-off show from The X Factor, The Xtra Factor, and joined This Morning as a cover presenter for Phillip Scofield.

In 2014 Ben was announced as one of the presenters for the new ITV breakfast show, Good Morning Britain, and he has stayed on the show ever since. He currently co-hosts the show on Thursdays and Fridays.

During his career Ben has hosted many different game and entertainment shows including Ninja Warrior UK, Who Dares, Sings!, and Dancing on Ice Exclusive. He now hosts the game show Tipping Point.

The 47-year-old is married to his university sweetheart, Annie Perks, and they met at the University of Birmingham while studying there.

The couple married in 2004 and have two sons together, Jack and Sam, and they live in London. He also does a lot of charity work often hosting events for Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the Royal British Legion, and others.
