This Morning viewers were left feeling emotional over a woman who phoned in for advice after the death of her husband and her son.
Mary, 81, called to speak with ITV presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in a segment with agony aunt, Deirdre Sanders.
The distraught woman's voice broke during the call as she spoke of her pain and the struggle to cope with grief.
Her husband died earlier this year, followed by the death of her only child.
Mary revealed her son died in April.
Getting emotional, she said: "I lost my only child, my son, and it was very unexpected. He was only 53."
Deirdre mentioned several websites for Mary to look at and also suggested a group for bereaved parents, where she might meet people who understand what she's going through.
The agony aunt promised she would call Mary back to offer further advice once she had finished on air.
Finishing the call, Phil said: "Mary, lots of love, we'll stay in touch okay? And I'm so, so sorry."
Viewers were taken with Mary and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
Liz commented: " @thismorning Please send Mary some flowers".
Adding sobbing emojis, one viewer said: "Aww bless her that's so sad".
Another said: "my heart goes out to Mary who lost her husband and son xx love to her and everyone else who has lost someone close to them in this trying time xx love to you all".
Shirley said: "oh Mary bless sending you a hug. Hope you have lots of ppl to help you through this."
Marjorie added: "Oh that poor woman..."
