ITV This Morning viewers in hysterics as sound man interrupts live show and walks on set

This Morning is known for its bizarre television segments, but one of today's interviews baffled many viewers.

Holly Worton was on This Morning to talk about her little-known gift - of TALKING to trees - and teach hosts Eamonn Holmes and Rochelle Humes the art of 'tree speak'.

The American said she can talk and connect to trees through telepathy and has now written a book on the subject.

She said: "It was not my idea, a yew tree gave me the idea for this book...I was then out on a forest bathing meet up group where we connected with trees and one of the things was to go up to a yew tree and connect with it."

Holly then went on to 'connect' with a tree planted by Alison Hammond last year.

ITV This Morning's Holly Willoughby stuns fans in little black dress

She said: "The tree just really wants to say thank you, thank you for including the trees on this show."

But fans of the show were in hysterics as the sound man rubbed the microphone against the tree to capture any potential sound.

One said: "The sound man nearly wet himself, putting the microphone near the tree."

Another said: "Someone give the sound man trying to hear a tree on #ThisMorning a BAFTA."

Rochelle and Eamonn were filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield who were enjoying a Bank Holiday Monday off work.
