ITV This Morning viewers ask if it's 'April Fools' as they turn over moments into show

This Morning viewers were wondering what they had tuned in to on Thursday morning.

Fans of the ITV daytime show were even left asking if April Fools had come early as they joined Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary for the latest edition of the programme.

That's because the hosting duo kicked off the penultimate show of the week by chatting to Dave Clark who has a rather unusual hobby.

He is currently on the hunt for Britain's best bin and has been searching the UK for waste disposal units to photograph.

Before speaking with Dave, Alison, 47, joked: "We're starting with a load of old rubbish."

Dave, who was in Norwich, then spoke to the pair about how his journey to find the best bin started and wondered if he had any problems with taking the bins out at home.

"Yes I do like taking the bins out," he said. "And this is the other thing about bins, it's really amazing actually because it's always optional which way to have it.

"You can have it this way round with the handles or the front way round which is where this one in," Dave added tapping on the bin right next to him.

But This Morning viewers couldn't relieve believe what they were watching.

@DohaDoll tweeted: "Is it April Fools’ already? Great segment on bins! Really #thismorning there must be more interesting stories out there!"

"#ThisMorning switched TV on saw bin man switched back off bloody stupid nonsense you putting on," @andreab45138912 complained.

@Gingersam88 commented: "This guy totally had a bet with his mate to get on telly and talk about something mad. I can't take him seriously #ThisMorning."

"Been up all night. And there's now a man on the telly talking about his favourite bins #ThisMorning," @SlapstickSally added.
